Welcome and Introduction

Welcome to the offline preview release of the ParTecs PKB management system.

Please, if you are connected to the Internet, please use the latest version of this software .

This system, based on the Zope web application framework and the Plone content management system, harnesses the power and code from open source software to create a participatory knowledge system.

In the full version, this Participatory Knowledge Base will be tightly integrated with the Deliberative Discourse Areas and will have several additional areas of functionality that include:

• Advanced features for rating content;
• A more advanced system of overlapping topographies for the classification of knowledge;
• Tightly integrated version control to allow the storage and comparison of multiple version of software;

This version is set up to let you see how easy it is to create and modify content in a variety of formats. The following tour will lead you through one example but, by all means, feel free to explore!
